Issues connecting my 9XR Pro.

Hello everyone I am trying to connect my transmitter and i got problems. I have successfully connected and installed the Vehicle Setup Wizard and after the reboot I am promped to Start the Transmitter Setup Wizard, I click on the box and got a message saying that "Arming Settings are now set to 'Always Disarmed' for your safety." apears. I click Ok and nothing happens. Tried to do that from the menu but I am unable to start the Transmitter Wizard. Any ideas? :/

My Hardware is the following:

Transmitter is 9XR Pro with FS RM002. My Receiver is 9X 8C v2.

Shall I choose PPM Input Signal?
Shall I choose RAPID or Stardard ESC on vehicle Setup Wizard?

I would appreciate an answer with explanation.

Its a normal receiver, so use pwm as input, and as cable the 8 wire cable which was delivered with your flight controller. As ESC speed I would start with normal Speed, that will always works, if your ESC supports faster rates, change it later on output screen.

Default PIDs are tuned assuming a fast ESC, so you really should use Rapid ESC protocol (PwmSync or Pwm@490Hz).

Also, calibrate your ESCs with a range of 1000-1900 instead of the usual 1000-2000. This helps with 500Hz PwmSync, and doesn't hurt otherwise.

Do you think the ESC calibration may be the problem that I am seing a RED box at INPUT in the overview panel? Something must be wrong with my TX/RX right? :/

ESC calibration doesn't affect input. Red input means something is wrong with the RC input configuration. I recall that a correctly configured RC input is orange if the RC receiver is not powered.

I suggest you re-run the setup wizard, assuming that you are using PWM RC. This is when you use a cable/wire for each function, so you will have a cable with 3 wires, and about 4 other cables with 1 wire each, going from FC to RC receiver.

Also be careful to read and follow instructions, for instance, the RC receiver only gets power when a flight battery is plugged into the ESC. Also, the ESC must have a built in BEC (battery eliminator circuit) to convert the 12V flight battery power to 5 volts for the RC receiver and the FC. OPTO ESCs generally don't have BECs, but most other, common ESCs do have BECs built in.

Hello again and thank you for your answer. I have bind my Transmitter with the Receiver again and test it using a simple servo. Everything is OK. I have gone through the Vehucle Setup Wizard using PWM as you said and nothing changed. My Receiver is powered from the ESC and the red lights in ON. Can you please verify that the images attached in the first post is correct? I may have some mistakes with the wiring? I hope so...

Do I have to connect all the 6 pins in my receiver? (6 signals) Also, does it matter which pin will be grounded and powered?

I have searched all over the internet and can not find anyoneone else that have the same problem... :| This setup works find with ardupilot 2.8 (old board).

The GCS and CC3D software versions must match. I suggest that you first Update And Erase to get the CC3D running the same version as the GCS. You are running LibrePilot, (not OpenPilot) correct? Here is some help to do the update:

You need to configure your transmitter to put your best (3 or more positions) switch onto channel 5. This is important. Do this and use a servo to test that your transmitter switch works and is on channel 5.

You need at least 5 cables (a 3 wire cable and four other 1 wire cables) from the CC3D to channels 1 - 5 in the receiver. Sometimes the colors of wires in the CC3D cable are not the same as these pictures. Try to connect the first signal wire to the receiver channel 1, 2 for 2, etc. Also, make sure the plugs are plugged in in the correct direction. Here is some wiring help:

Hello and thanks for the detail answer. Um, something strange is happening. I open LibrePilot GCS 16.09 software and here is what is going on. I connect the board and at the bottom right corner I see the word "Connect". I can not connect the board. So, I need to restart the software and everything is connected now.

Next I can only navigate at tabs Welcome, Flight Data, HITL. The other tabs do nothing when I click on them. So, I have no idea how to upgrade the board according to the manual. Why all tabs do not work? Any ideas? :/ Do I have to connect my LiPo bat too?

Hello i got a GREEN steady and a BLUE led which is blinking every ~500ms (half a second).

Well, that means the board is running, so far so good. Your computer also makes the typical USB sound when plug the USB cable in? Is the board shown in the firmware tab?

If not try the rescue procedure:

Remove battery from your vehicle, the board must be powered off

Press rescue button at firmware tab

Plug in board via USB

Recovery procedure starts, firmware will be written.

Board reboots

After that your computer shall connect to the board.

Hello yes the typical sound. Everything is ok. Well listen, I just connected that, 3 days now I could not load and view the configucation tab. I was clicking but nothing happened. I for no reason charged my battery again and I just SAW the configuration tab. I will follow a tutorial and I hope everything goes well this time. It seems it worked for no reason. I have no idea why! I will come back and post the result of this try soon. wish me luck.
