« on: August 03, 2016, 02:18:08 pm »
Hello

With the Next release 20160724 when I plug the battery only One ESC beeps, Then after somme seconds, another one, and so on. Sometimes I hear a beep. When I arm the esc, only One or two motors run

I tried again with the 15.09, and everything is OK. When i plug the battery all esc beeeps, and all motors run after arming

Running PPM, GPS + mag (i2c) Revo FC on eachine racer 250

Thank you

This sounds familiar.  I recall there is a conflict between the ESC firmware and the FC firmware.

If I guess I think it is recent BLHeli and using OneShot.  You might Google for that sort of thing.

Thank you

In fact it's Simonk firmware on ESC. I searched the web for this, but didn't found anything...

Did you start from a clean config ?

I mean do a "Upgrade&Erase" first, followed with a Wizard.

Strange.. at least Next is not broken.
Just tested with almost same setup using Revo / ppm / Simonk.

Some Red alarm in SystemHealth ?

It happens when i save and restart controller (unplug usb and battery), before transmitter setting. None alarm except input and GPS (it hasn't found satellites yet)
till i restart controller (before saving), when i plug unplug battery the esc are beeping normally.

Tried and tried so many times...

Following the Wizard you do not need to disconnect or restart, the reboot is automatic.

I do not understand what do you mean with "(before saving)" in second sentence...
What do you save exactly ?

Post your config file that do the issue.

i meant that until i save, if i unplug then plug the battery esc are beeping.

i "save" when the configuration wizard  ends.

The only Wizard steps where you need the battery are calibration and next le neutral value for every motor.
You should not disconnect or unpower the board during the whole wizard time.

If you disconnect the board from usb while on wizard, the board return to erased state and no output set so Esc do not receive signal.

I see nothing wrong with your config file...

Hourra

I have found what is the cause : If i omit 'GPS + Mag' in the wizard, everything is OK.

If i set it, ESC don't beep.

There must be a problem there ...

Does it change anything if i set it in hardware after the wizard ?

What do you mean ?
If you choose GPS+I2c, the Esc do not beep while calibrating ?

In all cases, before you reach the "Level page" first time the outputs are disabled, because no config loaded on board.
This mean no signal and Esc do beeps if you connect a battery.

While reaching the Level page, settings you choose (Quad, hexa or whatever) are loaded and outputs enabled to minimal level. (1000µs)
At this point Esc stop beeping because receive a signal.

You should only connect the battery at calibration step and neutral settings.

Perhaps in french for me this could be easier to explain...

I mean that the only difference when it works and when it doesn't depend on the fact that i set or not 'gps + mag' in  the vehicle wizard. Tested four times.
