Recovering a Cc3d
« on: November 08, 2020, 11:13:31 pm »
I have a problem.

I need to return the cc3d firmware and I can't.  the computer does not recognize the fc.  neither does librepilot.

I don't know how to install it again.
I will install this FC on a wing.

I've tried several ways.
by ftdi i can install another firmware from another brand, but librepilot i can't find the cc3d bin file.

if you don't have an OP/LP bootloader on the CC3D you will need to do something special that needs an FTDI and a hand made cable.

a wiki search for cc3d firmware
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/search?text=cc3d%20firmware

shows this page
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LPDOC/pages/5669026/Firmware+Tab

which takes you to this page on another web site
https://web.archive.org/web/20190701124058/http://www.southquay3d.com/index.php?route=news/article&news_id=9

generally you will need either ef_coptercontrol.bin (Entire Flash: board will work normally when done) or bl_coptercontrol.bin (bootloader: you will still need to do rescue procedure to use the bootloader to install the flight firmware)

Here is a forum post I made about this 5 years ago.  :)  I would read the posts that follow it for guidance too.

Thank you.

I found the .bin file
cc3d successfully restored. Now it's time to complete the project for her.

It was hard to find, many sites no longer exist.

I found this site. https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/LPDOC/pages/40402972/Recover+board+using+ST-Link
