When Starting up system gimbal messes up Stab
« on: March 21, 2018, 12:21:52 am »
When I start the system up it is stable for the first few seconds.  During this time it is setting the ATTI and STAB.

Most of the time, during the startup, the head gimbal servos will shift slightly.  The shift causes the gimbal to shake like mad to the point that I am afraid it will break.  I have to shut down and restart.  20% of the time I can start with no issues.

If I unplug the gimbal, let the system start-up, then plug it back in everything is fine.

Any clue how to fix this??

- Mini Revolution 32bit F4 Based Flight Controller
- Oplink Mini Air & Ground Telemetry for Mini Revolution Flight Controller

Thank you!

You may need to disable the "Wait until the board is steady" in Attitude stab.
Gimbal is active 7s after the board is powered.

Awesome, that worked!  Thank you!

One other question.  Every once in a while if I pitch too steep it will lose STAB and the motors disable, all controls shut down for a few seconds.  Do you think this is related to the "wait until board is steady" or related to PID settings?

Best is to log when this happens.  You can play back log and see what happened.  Look at System Health gadget for first clue.

For me, this was caused by intermittent wire from Rx to FC which caused it to go into FC failsafe.  Could be high servo current causing undervoltage so Rx reboots.
