Attopilot current sensor

I have received my attopilot 50v 180A. When i connect my batterie i can control 15.9 v between gnd and i (vcc current). Normaly dot not more 3.3v no?
1v between gnd and v.
It's ok?
I can plug this current sensor without dommage for my revo board?

There are 3 pins
- I
- V
- Gnd
do not connect anything else from this sensor to the Revo.

You always measure Gnd and something else, in this case you measure Gnd to V for voltage and Gnd to I for current.  You measure both of these using the voltage scale on your meter and they should never be more than 3.3 volts.

Connect Gnd to pin 1 of FC connector
Connect I to pin 3 of FC connector
Connect V to pin 4 of FC connector
nothing else

For future reference, if you need your sensor to have a switching BEC, these APM sensors work well for about the same price (about USD $4.50 shipped).  I have installed one and tested it but not flown it yet.

From gnd to v i have vcc curent!!! 16v! So for sure my attopilot is dead!
From gnd to i i have 1v so this its ok.

Use the voltage scale for both of these measurements so:
From gnd to v I have vcc voltage.

But I assume that is what you meant and that you measured it correctly.

Yes i check this correctly with my multimeter.
Between gnd to i 16v.
Between gnd to v  1v
So can i use only the v for know my voltage without connect i?
Just the time for order and received a new one

Which is broken?  "Gnd to V" or "Gnd to I"

You can use just the one that works and not connect the broken one at all, leave that wire disconnected from FC or it will damage FC.

Maybe we can figure out how to fix the broken one.  Use magnifying glass to examine sensor looking for solder blobs shorting things out or damaged / missing components.

Do you understand that the heavy battery + wire is different than the V sensor output?  :)

I started writing debugging post but waiting on clarification now.

Yes sorry.
So for be clear :
Between gnd and i i have 16v
Between gnd and v i have 1v.
This is with 4s battery.
With 3s battery :
Between gnd and i i have 12v
Between gnd and v i have 0.75v
So my i is broken
I have check all connection and i don't see anything wrong

Bad connection to any of several IC pins could cause that.  Something wrong around the 73.2k resistor could cause it.

Look for damage / broken / bad traces / extra solder with a magnifying glass in these areas.

The circuit is simple enough to use an ohm meter to trace the whole thing and verify resistor values.

For sure my multimeter doesnt check a 70kohms. I have a megaohmeter in my job but i don't know if i use this if some dommages can be cause (1000v)
This weekend i will check with a big class. I hope i will find the problem.
You have test the item of your ebay link so i think pourcharse it. Sure i and v outpout don't exceed 3.3v?

The voltage factor is 10 and the current factor is 18

I recall that means that sensor signal less than or equal to 3.3v up to 33 volts or 60 amps.  For more than that you can add/change a resistor.

The add says the module can handle 25 volts (not 33) and 90 amps.

The original authentic version was 18 volts so keep it to 4s or less in case the seller is wrong?

Do you need more than 4s or more than 60 amps?

Hello.
I restore my topic because i have received my new attopilot 180a in remplacement by the seller.
I sold x60 connector, put my battery and check current.
And it's the same problem :
0,97v between gnd and v
15,45v between gnd and i
15,45v between gnd and +
So i can't connect it to my revo.

Can you send me please a link for buy a new one you works!

Maybe OK for V=0.97 since max is 50V and you are only feeding it 16V.  It is probably a simple design with just 2 resistors.

The I=15.45 is wrong and sounds like the current sensor IC is burned up.  Current sensor requires level shifting in typical circuit designs.

The APM 60A current and voltage sensor with 2-3A BEC that I bought is here and on sale for USD $3.18 shipped.  They say it works to 90A, but I think that is only 60A continuous:

I use 4 motors (emax mtt 2216 810kv) in 4s and 30a opto esc but i don't know if i can use your current sensor (120a will be more safe).
But for 4€ i can test it (25/30€ for an attopilot 180a).
