Micro quads
« on: April 28, 2017, 04:59:06 am »
Hello

I am about to get a 500 series quad in the air with a cc3d atom controller and have started to look for the next build.  At this time a micro, under 100mm, is looking real good for the next build. What I need to know is if the cc3d atom or the revolution mini are the smallest control boards that use librepilot or is there some other boards that can be used in the 20 x 20 size boards that work with it.

Thanks for the help in this.

Mindever is working on F3 targets and making adding new hardware easier afaik.

Maybe picoblx ? If you have hardware in mind just ask devs might know if it's possible.

I am also building mini racer 90-100mm brushless. Which is going to run LP. I am using f3 femto controller, flashed with LP from mindever works fine so far, just that everything needs to be set in uavbrowser as there is no wizard / GUI yet.

Hi TF,

I'd say small F3 boards based on Spracingf3 evo (like f3 femto) or pikoblx would be your best bet, cause besides they are small, they have mounting holes - unlike revo mini which hasnt got any, and mounting is sometimes pita.

Anyway, the configuration is not all that intimidating like Mateusz is trying to make it look ;), as it is not "everything" that has to be set in uavbrowser - it is probably just uart port config for your RX that you'd want to do using uavbrowser at the moment. Everything else is same as for other boards (tx wizard, outputs, sensors calibration) and has full GUI as usual.

Check that thread, but read first post for more complete info. https://forum.librepilot.org/index.php?topic=2920.0
