I just installed LP 1609 on my HP Pavilion dv7 notebook running 64 bit Vista. It has Intel quad 2GHz and 6GB RAM.

LP opens up with the Welcome screen completely BLACK. There is a title bar and file bar at the top and all the tabs visible at the bottom (Welcome, Flight data, System, etc).

When I click on any of the other tabs those pages show up fine, however the Welcome screen is blank.

If I click on the Welcome screen where I think the Vehicle Setup Wizard should be it does open it up.

Do I need to see anything else on the Welcome screen to use the program? I can live with stabbing in the dark as long as I’m not missing out or it affects anything else.

All stuff displayed in welcome tab is accessible by other manners.

Did you try installing the MesaOpenGL driver ?

No I didn't install Mesa, only the defaults shown above. Is there a way to do it now or do i have to uninstall and reinstall?
