OP-link connection not working
«

Hi,
I am followingthe instructions for binding my Revo board to my oplink modem given here:
http://opwiki.readthedocs.io/en/latest/user_manual/oplink/binding.html
The modem (coordinator) seems to be working but the oplink on the cc3d board just seems to keep resetting. I tried googling the error but nothing came up. All the firmware is updated and the coordinator code is correct. Has anyone seen this before?

Hi, welcome.
Try 57600 or 115200 bauds in both sides.
If finally works at 115200bauds can be one modem not sync with the other in frequency.
Oplink connected to the computer and Revo powered using a battery / esc.

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I tried both those com speeds and still there is no connection (modem powered via usb and cc3d powered via battery). When I connect the cc3d via USB the reset counter keeps going up and up without any successfulTX or RX

Try redo the config from scratch.
If still not working that maybe a hardware issue.
No need to set the max power for tests, sometimes this cause powering issues.

Your board is definivelly a
Revolution
board, not a CC3D.

sorry, you are right, it is a revolution with a built in modem. I erased and redid the firmware and reduced the power but the revolution is still just resetting. It may be a hardware problem.

If you want to do testing you can download the following:
https://share.orange.fr/?_=A02#7gGEKtpdfD1088e39a6e
And install in a separate dir.
This version allow "fine" (in your case can be a lot?) frequency tuning, gui changed a little but you must be able to configure Coordinator / receiver.
Look at tooltips on mouse over for more information.

Thanks for sending on the more detailed software. I flashed the firmware again and tried it but no joy. The modem just keeps resetting with no other output.

Resetting is normal until it sees and connects to the coordinator modem.
I know this sounds stupid but it has happened here before, do you have antennas connected to both modems?

You are right not to underestimate my stupidity as I have done that before! I double checked the antenna and they are connected correctly. When I set it up as coordinator it was transmitting and receiving. I had borrowed the oplink modem and had to give it back. I will try again with the new firmware version next week.
