Arming in a GPS based mode
« on: February 28, 2016, 03:33:31 am »
Is it just me or can you not arm when you are in a flight more that uses the GPS in any way?  This seems to include not just things like velocity roam, auto take off, and rtb but also any mode with GPS assist enabled as well stabilized modes that use altitude hold or altitude vario.  Is this an intentional safety measure or is this a defect?

You already found and self answered your question.

You cannot Arm using any assisted / GPS mode, for safety reasons.

Looks like (armhandler.c) you can arm in PathPlanner or AutoTakeOff mode.
