OSD weirdness
« on: February 24, 2016, 02:27:30 am »
So I got a Mavlink OSD v2.2(which is supposed to have finally fixed the power issues) from Banggood. Using a CC3D.
My first attempt was not bad. Data and and batt volts looked good, there was just a bit of blinking 0's in the artificial horizon area and I could not get to the setup menu. So I went to the wiki and noticed I was using OSD Config v2.1.2.0 instead of V2.1.3.0. Now that Ver. kinda sucks cause there is no photo in the panels and there is no text in the panels, just the red grid when you click on the items in the list.

With the new OSD config tool, I tried the Team KV firmware. I can get the setup menu, but can't adjust anything. It also seems to jump between panels on it's own and does not switch when I toggle ch. 5. The Batt Volts are lower than the original setup. When I try the LP MinimOSD, Batt Volts are in the 0.63 range.

At this point it's getting hard to define my problem because every time I try something new I have a whole new problem set????

I'm going to try going back to Config v2.1.2.0 and Team KV firmware. I haven't tried that iteration yet, but I have to wait for my monitor to recharge

Keep in mind that channel 5 is not RC input channel 5.  It's hard coded to your flight mode switch.  Channel 6 is Accessory0, 7 is 1 and 8 is 2

Oh yeah... that would explain how I got into setup mode with the flight mode switch!!
So that seems to be the best yet. Once I change the panel toggle to accessory1, I'll be almost there.
Setup is spastic but i was able to get through it.

My last weirdness which seems to have shown up in all iterations. It is the "warning" shows up at the bottom where I placed it, but also another set of text is split  on each side of the screen in the middle (vertical).
Any idea on why that is?

You can disable most of things in OSD. I only show voltage/current on my OSD, the RSSI (signal quality) and GPS if I use one.

If something is not what you expect picture would be handy. But the text may split if you place it too close to the edge maybe ?
