creep in yaw
« on: February 08, 2016, 07:24:21 pm »
Hi,

I just had to redo the setup after an esc failed, I've run through all the wizards again, everything looks good except there is a slight but constant yaw to the left, whats the best way to tune that out, is there a value I can tweak somewhere?

Thanks

no GPS (yet) had to take it out as wanted to learn to fly first :)

If you are using a CC3D, a small drift in Yaw is normal when board is still.

If in flight, set all Transmitter trims to zero and redo Transmitter calibration.

Using a revo board, yup its in flight, I'll redo the TX setup, thanks,

while I'm at it, I use a 3 pos switch for flight modes, last time I did the tx setup it mapped them in reverse, as in up (position 1) was pos 3 in GCS

is there a way to flip it, my RX likes all switches to be in the up position (from heli days)

Board can't know how the switch pos1, pos2... is in your radio.

There is no revert option for flightmode, maybe swap the stabilized1 to the pos3 and stabilized3 to the pos1 in Config > Input > FlightModes ?

Yup tried that, it refuses to arm if I do that, its ok I can live with it, just found it odd, its also odd that it refuses to arm if I swap stab 1 and 3

Is there a check that prevents arming in rate/rate/rate/manual as thats what I have stab 3 set to.

thanks for the help!

No, you can arm in rate.

The only limitations are with thrust (CruizeControl only allowed with Rattitude/Attitude)

Post a screenshot from the Flightmode tab when you cannot arm.

did the tx wizard and the yaw creep is gone, so thanks for that

First screen is where is can't arm, second is how the modes are set, third when it can, all I did between the 2 was to swap Flight mode stab 1 from pos. 3 to pos. 1 and hit save

You cannot arm with AltVario, you should arm, take off and switch to the flightmode using AltVario
