5.8 ghz transmitter

I would like to know if a quadcopter  on which the gps works  well with external compass can mount a fpv 5.8ghz transmitter. This transmitter can  interfering with gps or compass functions?

Yes.  It is always a good idea to separate the different RF antennas as much as possible.  Some setups might need special antenna filters, for instance 433 and 1280.  The third harmonic of 433 is 1299 which is close enough to 1280 that it can cause a problem.  Problem exists where there is a 433 transmitter and a 1280 receiver that are close together (ground station).

So a 5.8 ghz fpv transmitter will not disturb the gps since the frequency is higher. Instead oplink telemetry could interfere with gps? Possible solution use the minimum required power.

Enough transmitter power or antennas close enough and transmitter A can affect receiver B with just about any frequencies A and B.

There are some frequency pairs that are worse (like 433 and 1280) and the problem is worse for small aircraft where you must put antennas close together.

Generally, start the build with antennas and boards as far apart as practical.  Different antenna polarizations helps too, like circular for 5.8, horizontal turnstyle for 433, etc.
