Is this possible? (CC3D)
« on: November 02, 2015, 04:59:24 pm »
I've got the latest LibrePilot and a generic CC3D unit.  I am interested in using this system for flight stabilization on my Freewing Su-35.  I use a Taranis radio system and each control surface is assigned to its own channel.  I need to be able to maintain the control surface independence.  Please look at the attached picture.  Is this possible?

Thanks in advance.

Should be possible.

In Vehicle > Fixed wing you can find the config.

Two ailerons,
Two elevators,
Tow rudders,

No motor ?

But like you do in drawing is not possible.
You should input only axis command : Roll/Pich/Yaw + Throttle

Another input for flight mode switch
Remove all mixers in Taranis, CC3D do the mixing for you

Thanks for the speedy response!

The fixed wing tab will not allow me to assign as I need.  When I try to assign my six control surfaces and then hit save, it complains that not all required items have been assigned and it resets back to ch1 on motor and clears the second rudder assignment I made.

I've been messing around on the "custom" tab as it seems to allow for complete custom selections without restrictions.  I will get a screenshot when I get home.  There's a disconnect in my head where the incoming channel signal from the rx is mapped to the CC3D port.  I'm assuming that's the output screen.

I learned from experience with another fixed wing that I do not the CC3D having any control whatsoever over my throttle.

Thank you...I suspected that it wasn't possible.  From what I've seen, the CC3D cannot do the other mixing and custom functions I require in order to turn all that functionality over to it from the Tx.

Looks normal, motor assignment is not mandatory.

You should affect some output for Motor , but not connected. (here ch7)

What customs mixing you need ? elevators that do like ailerons for rolls ?

Okay, I will look at that.

Mixes: Elevons/Tailerons (elevators that also act like ailerons), air brakes (spread rudders, full up on both ailerons, full down on both elevators), and flaps.  I just don't see how I can do that with only axial inputs...perhaps I'm just too new to the GCS.  I need to spend more time with GCS on a bench test setup to understand what it's doing and how it works.

Some fixed mixes are possible but "Flight phases" ? / mixer changes in flight are not possible.

In you case Elevons/Tailerons can be done.

Basically i think Elevators can be configured like the "Elevon" frame (pitch/roll mix).
Configure one "Elevon"frame with ch2/5 outputs and look how the mixing is done.
