Supermoon Eclipse QUADI 300 First Flight CC3D
« on: October 23, 2015, 01:49:16 pm »
First a big thanks for all that were involved in making Supermoon Eclipse a reality- awesome work.
Downloaded and install perfect onto my WIN 8 laptop, then loaded it onto my CC3D machine and away I went.

AUW is 986 grams with a 4S 2250 on the back.
There is no anti vibration system used, the cameras are inside the frame itself.
Was a stiff breeze blowing but it did rather well.
Could keep up to the traffic doing 80kmph pretty easy.
I had HQ 6.45 props on, but will put the triples back on for more thrust.
Cobra 2000kv motors and Multiwiicopter 12amp OneShot ESC's which, on my 250, sat underwater for 35 mins once with a 4S battery on and they are still working. They are very good ESC's

Flying in ACRO + mode, Pitch factor on 50 with the roll set at 60.
Expo set up on the Taranis.

Its not a super light rig but lots of fun to fly and I look forward to trying some new tricks with it.
Cheers.

Okay, today I wanted to push it little bit more, getting the hang of inverted free falls so I can then build up to inverted yaw tricks. There was a bit of wind but the 300 did well.
Supermoon Eclise is awesome, will update my CC3D 250 now.
Flying ACRO+ again, will I ever be able to fly my NAZA Phantom ever again lol

That's some nice looking video.  What kind of camera are you using?  I'm looking to upgrade my 808s sometime.  Still mad at GoPro though, for their attempted takedown of a review they didn't like a year or two ago.  :(

Thanks for the comments.
I gave up on spending money on overpriced GP's.
Use a Xiaomi Yi set on 1920/1080 - 50P.
Use 50P so it fits in with my other camera footage, 60P in AUS will cause flicker if there are any lights on as our power run at 50 Herts.
They are super easy to pull apart too and clean of dust that might get on the sensor if flying in dusty conditions.
