ESC's Not Arming On 380 Quad
« on: June 06, 2016, 07:33:39 pm »
Fellas, I am having trouble getting the esc's to arm on my 380 quad. 1st
thing, the motors and esc's are from a flying 3d x8 quad. 2nd the motors
and esc's are mounted to a Totem 380 quad frame. 3rd, using Open Pilot
board with Flysky Tx and 6 channel Rx. When I go to the Open Pilot pro-
graming, everything goes just fine until I plug in the 2200mah battery to
arm the esc's. When I do, the esc's initialize then just go to a steady beep beep beep. When I do the same procedure to my 450 quad it beeps a melody, then one beep, then hit stop and it beeps once, good to go. I am not sure if I am doing something wrong or the esc's are not right for the
open pilot board. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks  The Spudman

Hi!

I did not get when exactly you face your problem. But usually "beep beep beep" from ESC means that input PWM is higher then expected minimum. In other words, your controller "0 speed signal" (cannot find the exact word in English) is much higher then ESC is calibrated to.
To fix this, you will have to go through Wizard and calibrate your ESC properly. Hope this helps.

Select the desired output signal speed (at least PWM490 or PWMSync) on the Output page for all the motors, then do ESC calibration.  Search the wiki for that.
