Help with Revolution GPS Set Up
« on: March 28, 2016, 03:16:21 pm »
Would it be possible for someone to guide me how to set up my revo and GPS? I've never got it to work and don't know where I am going wrong.

I flew my friends phantom today and he was able to get it up into the air with ease, and had all the gps functionality ready to go. After flying his, it makes me think the route I've taken with the revo, qav400 and fatshark goggles was the wrong one.

I would like to be able bring my quad out knowing the gps is working, fly on gps assisted modes and return to home if possible? I may be mistaken but is any of this possible without having to carry a laptop around?

Maybe start from this Wiki page:
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Advanced+features

If you have already a FPV setup, fly with assisted mode do not make sense in my opinion.

I've followed the wiki, but still not had much luck. Do I really require to bring my laptop each time I want to fly with gps?

That wiki page is not clear as to where my home location is set if I set it to false. Does home become the location where I arm the board?

When HomeLocation is set to false next time you get a GPS fix the Home is set.
The Home location is the one used for Mag calibration and reference for Waypoint fly.

Also take a look at this page, related to RTB and how to setup the ArmingLocation:

If something is not clear, test, edit/amend the page content.
