My mag was showing green. Then after running an upgrade it no longer shows any color. The Mag is black and no warnings say why. This is true for 2 separate boards.

Both are Banggood Revolution full kits. Both have the GPS activated. I understand that the Mag in the GPS does not work.

You should check in System->Settings->AuxMagSettings->Usage possible values are Both, AuxOnly, OnBoard only.

If the fusion algorithm used is Complementary (Basic) the mag alarm still grey because complementary do not use Mag at all.

All others algorithm uses Mag and display Mag alarm in SystemHealth

I tried resetting to onboard only and both (default both), neither worked. It says under type GPSV9 or EXT. Neither cured the problem. What am I missing?

It is set to GPS Navigation (INS13)

And it runs ? No alarms or red cross on PFD ?

Homelocation is set ? Mag calibrated ?

Ok I looked at your picture and set fusion algorithm to what you showed. Now it is red in health, states it needs calibration. Thank you!

Setting "Manually" the FusionAlgo inside UAVOBrowser is useful for Mag testing while inside house...
No need GPS with Complementary+Mag or INS13Indoor

I would like to use the external mag in the M8N GPS, but I cannot find a wiring diagram, for it, to hook it up to I2C. should only need 2 wires if I remember right.

But thank you very much. Now I can calibrate it and have the mag working again.

I wonder why I did not have the problem earlier, it worked with the defaults before.

External mag is not currently supported with 15.09 release, only if you build the next branch by yourself.

I2c need SCL/SDA wires on FlexiPort, assuming mag is powered internally from GPS connector

https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/GPS+setup the left picture. Remember it will only work if you compile the next branch or wait for the next release.

Edit: same picture as posted above, he posted while I was looking it up :)

The DJI GPS will work with the next release, correct?

I have not compiled anything in a long time. Heck I cannot even find the right settings for the revo. LOL

Did a down and dirty calibration indoors now the mag is green. If I turn on GPS Assist under flight mode settings, config goes red. Complains about not being in INS13 and GPS Assist being set under modes. Config goes green with INS13 Indoor as long as GPS Assist is turn off. I guess I will have to work through it all until it is all in the green.

Actually, I do that a lot, especially while inside on the bench.  :(
