HELP ESC not calibrating and putting out beep loop.
« on: March 17, 2016, 02:42:12 pm »
I just got this copter and at first used Openpilot to try and get it up and running.  It wouldn't work as the same problem happened there the only difference being that with the OP i was at least able to get the roters to spin up and run but could NOT get lift and its clear they are not going the speed that they should be.  That is what led me to try LibrePilot and my current stat of things.  PLEASE HELP!!!

Here is a link to a video i did show exactly what is going on and even the tones that it is putting out.  I am hoping that it will help someone with working out just what is wrong with my drone.

Also for those that want to know the quad is a Eachine racer 250.  If that helps and the ESCs are http://www.banggood.com/Eachine-Racer-250-Drone-Spare-Part-Simonk-12A-ESC-2-4S-p-1014103.html

The second time (at 2:46) when you tried to test the motors you didn't check Live Testing - test outputs.

Welcome to LibrePilot and the forum.  I actually ordered an eachine racer 250 to play with a few days ago, it should be here next Wednesday.  I couldn't resist the smiling face on the front  ;D

You should edit your first post and change all http in the video link (3 times I think) to https.  Most browsers will block people from seeing the video because it's http on a https page.

Update.....!!!!!!!!!!!!

Got to love how people can be so SLOPPY.  Just take a look at the connector for the ESC signal cable to the FCB!

I agree, quality control must have been sleeping when that went by.  :(

Did you contact the seller?  They may send a replacement board or give you a partial refund if you fix it yourself.  I had one Chinese seller send me a whole new transmitter (the one with joysticks) because one switch didn't work.  And they didn't want the old one back.  I ordered a replacement switch and had a second transmitter for 36 cents.

I did inform Bangggood on the matter and will have to wait till they open 9am their time.....I see two options here.  One is they issue me a refund and if they want the defective unit back then they will have to pay for the shipping on it.  If not and they tell me to keep it i will take the refund to pick up a new FCB and four new ESCs then clean the mess away and redo the guts of the thing hopefully the motors are fine and it would only have effected those two things.  It would be a large hit for them though cause it was a 300 kit.

It's hard to tell in the picture but that looks like a solder splash, essentially a drop of molten solder that dripped off a soldering iron and fell there.  If it is they usually don't actually solder themselves on and can sometimes be popped off. I'd carefully see if it will pop off with a toothpick or a pin.
