Output Chan 5/6 disabled greyed out
« on: January 28, 2016, 09:48:42 pm »
Hi,

I'm trying to configure a gimbal servo on channel 6 of my CC3D Atom flight controller but when I go to configure the outputs in LibrePilot channel 5 and 6 are both greyed out (disabled).

I don't seem to be able to configure them.

I'm assuming that they are supported on the Atom as the pins are available.

I tried, connecting external power in case that was a requirement. Turned on the Tx and enabled the camera module.

Looking at the system health on the Flight Data tab all expected indicators are 'Green' including Input and Output.

Do I need to enable something in the system settings perhaps?

Cheers,
Shaun

Can you post your Gimbal settings ?

Interesting, after unplugging everything and shutting down LibrePilot ground station software (osx). When I came back to grab the settings the output channel showed up.

I had unplugged the CC3D Atom when I enabled the CameraStabilization module (several times). So perhaps I needed to also, shutdown/restart the ground station software?

I was following this youtube video for my configuration:

Output channel setting from Gimbal tab need reboot.
This means disconnect USB and external +5V
No need Gcs restart

I'm pretty sure I disconnected both the external power supply and the USB connection so the supply rail would not have had anything on it.

The video makes a point of that and the GCS has a note about it on the gimbal tab near the checkbox to enable the module.

One of those things I guess. If I get a chance I might try reverting the settings and then re-applying - see if I can reproduce the issue.

Thanks for the help :)

Much appreciated.

Hello, I am experiencing the same issue.
I am using the Channel 5 for tilting the FPV camera. I set the Channel 5 on the gimbal tab, did restart, the channel 5 became ungrayed in the Output table and it is working all right. Then I set the Channel 7 for outputting the signal for the lost alarm module and the Channel 5 becomes grayed (servo stops working) in the Output table and the Channel 7 is working good. In the gimbal tab is still chosen the channle 5 for pitch.

You should set the Gimbal output after you set the buzzer to output7 in vehicle tab.
When you do changes in Vehicle tab all is cleanned to avoid mistakes in mixers.

Thank you, this helped at least partially. After setting the output for alarm and then the output for gimbal I had to restart the GCS. After the restart the output is ungrayed and can be set saved and works.
