Where to connect ubec
« on: January 16, 2016, 06:46:29 am »
Hi,

Sorry for such a basic question but I can't seem to work out where to connect a ubec, I have a revo, and am using an AR6200 and opto ESC's so I know I need a ubec but I don't know where to plug it in...

thanks

Try the fifth set of pins. Esc in 1-4 and bec into 5. Center pin line is pos+ and bottom pin( edge of board) is neg I believe

You can just switch two of the three wires on two of the motors to reverse them. As in there are three wires from each motor to esc. Some escs can be setup to switch the motor rotation or the easy was is to switch any 2 of the 3 wires that go from the esc to motor to reverse its rotation.

That works to reverse the motors but not the thread on the shaft, with 2 CW and 2 CCW and all the threads CW 2 blades will (and did) fly off despite lock tight  :-[

Are you using propellers that you just spin on?  like self tightening with a built in nut?

Nope carbon fiber 10x4.5 it has a stepped hole, moter is the emax 2213, it has a threaded shaft with an aluminium nut that secures the prop on. It's ok then new ones came today ;D this time 2 CW and 2 CCW perfect, no more flying off props.

Thanks for the help, it flew!!! I hovered in my back yard for a good few mins, I have some tuning to do now. Throttle is way to sensitive and the voltage and current sensor is no where near accurate despite doing the math and plugging in the numbers
