my Drone doesn't go straight up...
« on: July 28, 2022, 04:37:33 pm »
Does anyone have an idea why is my drone behaving like in the video?

Whenever testing a multirotor for the first time there are several things you should check:
1) Using very low throttle, pitch forward and see if the back two rotors speed up, front rotors spin down. And vise versa.
2) Using low throttle, roll left and right. Roll right, left side motors should speed up, right side spin down. And vise versa.
If they aren't you have your motor  connections wrong - fix that first.
If those are ok, then test yaw - on a floor like that, you should get it to slide and rotate left or right according to the direction of yaw with low throttle and no pitch/roll.
Do all these things before lifting off the ground. If they are fine, it should lift smoothly with no pitch/roll, just throttle.
Also, do you have attitude control set for pitch and roll, and rate set for yaw? If not it'll be a lot harder to control.

Yes you are right one of the motors was turning in the wrong direction, but the propeller was the right one... now it's better.
Thanks!
