hi there, back again. I was doing some modifications on the board (new revo) everything ok via usb and telemetry. today, after several days without using the usb I connect the board and you can flash anything via recovery but you can't communicate, gsc can show the connection ¨usb:revolution¨ but communication is Tx/Rx 0 bytes/sec. Vía telemetry still ok, I assume some com port problem after a windows update
I have win 10 on my pc, I just use a win 7 pc and everything runs ok.
Any suggestions to restore communication?

That symptom can happen if the GCS and firmware are mismatched.  Disconnect USB. Go into Firmware page.  Press Rescue.  Plug in USB.  It will tell you the version of firmware.  Make sure it matches that version of GCS.

Also, I vaguely recall some other people having problems with Win10.  Did it used to work with Win10?  Does that cable work with other devices on Win10?  Maybe with the FC plugged in USB, go into Device Manager and see if there are any warnings.  Usually looks like a yellow triangle with an exclamation in it, something like <!>.

same pc win 10 new board flashed and config vía usb, several times making changes vía usb. 5 days later no communication vía usb. 2 pc side by side one win 10 other win 7, same cable, works on win 7 no on win 10. win 10 does not work vía usb but works via telemetry. I will reinstall gsc again but it was working. I will check device manager on pc. Thanks.

everything installed again gcs and firmware. No warnings on Device Manager. Still the same, no communication via USB but ok on Telemetry. Works in windows 7 with no problem at all.

Did you know that you must unplug telemetry from PC to use direct USB?

It might be the PC USB port is bad or doesn't like that cable.  Can you use that same USB cable in that same USB port in the Win10 PC to connect and access anything else, like a camera?

I don't use Windows any more, so someone else will have to help.
