Autotune question
« on: September 26, 2017, 03:23:26 pm »
Hello,

i just have tried once autotune. During the fly, the quad was rising and I was obliged to reduce throttle.

My question is : is that prejudicial to autotune results ?

Thank you

AutoTune results are OK for that case, but what it means is that your ESCs are faster when speeding up the props than they are when slowing down the props.  Wagging the yaw back and forth hard and quickly (in any flight mode) will do the same thing.  Banking (roll and/or pitch) hard quick back and forth will do the same thing.

If you don't mind this that is OK, but if you want to fix it, consider flashing your ESCs with SimonK (Atmel processors only) with COMP_PWM or BLHeli with LightDamping.  These options try to slow down the RPM more quickly when that is commanded.
