Beginner help: FS-IA6B + CC3D, PPM
« on: July 07, 2017, 01:12:29 pm »
Hello,
I am building ZMR250 drone and I am trying to use CC3D (rev. C with micro-usb) and FS-IA6B with PPM between them, but clearly I am doing something wrong.
First I have connected with normal PWM to check if everything is connected ok, run wizard and properly tested all 4 motors. Then I have switched to PPM (changed inside transmitter to enable PPM), connected pin 8 of the CC3D to PPM output of FS-IA6B, run wizard, choose ppm and ... motors did not even move when using slider to start them up.

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

I am using those speed controllers:

What protocol are you using to talk to the ESCs?  I recall that on CC3D, OneShot ESC protocol has special requirements that move the RC receiver input pin around among other things and require using a different RC input mode in the setup for the motors to work.

You say the motors don't even work with the slider.  I assume you are talking about the Output page sliders and that you have enabled the test outputs check box at the bottom of that page and that you have done this with PWM and it worked.
