Cut traces of onboard Mag of MiniRevo
« on: June 08, 2017, 05:40:59 pm »
Hi,
Can someone please tell me which traces (photo) I need to cut on the MiniRevo in order to physically disable the onboard Mag?
I want to use an external Mag via I2C.
On the Honeywell chip schematics I can see where the SDA and SCL pins are. But on the board itself I want to be sure which traces I need to cut. Do I need to cut these two by the way?
Thanks in advance

I guess it is best to just connect external mag to flexi port and then select from GCS that you want to use only external mag (AuxOnly).

Yes, that option is possible if the Mag is different than of the external one.
I would like to cut the trace to disable it.
I have a spare MiniRevo I want to try to physically disable the Mag without eliminating the possibility to use an external Mag.

No, that option is possible if you select it. It doesn't matter if this is same or different mag type, they are on physically different bus, so no conflict.

It seems that you are overthinking this.
