That simply isn't true. It works. I tested it.

When the Tx wizard ask you to move the sticks to their maximum there is no need visual feedback.
Even when the stick animation is working correctly the computer cannot know if you move stick totally or half range, the only feedback you need is the physical stick limits in your Rc radio.
The limits are set correctly assuming you move sticks like asked when you see "Please move all controls to their maximum extents on both directions." so redo the manual calibration just after already done is
useless not needed. (If you don't move at all you will get a complain about no range for Throttle)
Using manual calibration do not tell you if one channel is reversed or not, that the main issue for the Tx wizard when flightmode detection step is skipped.
