I would like to know if I can record the route taken by quadcopter during a flight for example with velocityroam mode.

I think the best way right now requires telemetry (e.g. OpLink)

GCS -> Tools -> StartLogging

You can play this file back later and the GCS acts (scopes, GPS map) just like it did during the flight.  You can even add scopes and see that everything gets recorded.
