Revo withoud firmware
« on: February 01, 2017, 06:16:29 pm »
Guys, I need help.

I was trying to install BetaFlight 3.1.1 in Revo and did not install it. (betaflight deleted everything and installed nothing)

Now the Revo has only the power light (green) and also the LibrePilot does not recognize the Revo anymore, I can not go back to the original firmware.

Thank You.

I had the problem solved in parts.

the blue light from Revo returned after the procedure, but stil the GCS does not recognize the Revo.

See the photo of my device manager. I think now it's windows driver problem?

Be sure you uninstall the right composite device.

I uninstalled and the problem continues.

My pc does not have any ports configured for Revo when I plug it into the Pc. See the photo above.

Once you get the blue LED, the next part of the procedure is to unplug the FC, then press Rescue button, then plug board in, then flash firmware (e.g. Upgrade and Erase).

I tried this, it did not work.

When I click on rescue and after that I pugged the fc, the computer emits the sound something was plugged in, but the rescue does not detect that the fc was plugged in.

First, be aware that you must unsolder the SBL after flashing the bl (=bootloader) (or ef=entire flash).

Not 100% sure, but it sounds like you need to go back to step one and flash a good bootloader.bin (file name should be bl_revolution.bin), then step 2 should work.  Or you can use ef_revolution.bin.

the small bars Tx/Rx close to the connection button
no light when I plugged the fc
but the computer recognizes by emitting the sound of when you plug something.

even when there is no firmware on it there is a device
when there is firmware a second device soon takes over on boot up
so saying there is a device doesn't prove a whole lot  ;)

try re-flashing the bl or ef
