I-bus with Revolution and flysky x6b receiver
« on: December 24, 2016, 06:44:37 pm »
I need some help to understand how to connect the x6b receiver to my flight contrĂ´ler. On which pin I need to plug the pigtail coming from the ibus plug on the receiver to my Revolution. I read on some threads to plug it on the 4th one, but my 4 esc already goes to 1 to 4, did I miss something? Do esc plug on the flight contrĂ´ler also when using ibus?

Thanks for your help

Dan

Hi,

The IBus receiver need to be connected to the FlexiPort, pin4 is used as input pin
See FlexiPort description here:

If IBus, connect to the FlexiPort and choose FlexiPort > Ibus

If PPM, connect to the ReceiverPort (FlexiIO and choose PPM

You do not need a wire between two ports.

Great, thanks for the quick reply. It's clear with the diagram you showed. The thing that mix me up was the pigtail that come with the receiver (like the one I get with the esc) I was thinking it need to be plugged to the FC. To get a clean build I'm gonna cut the pigtail that come with the receiver and fit the plug to hook it to the FC.

Sorry for the noob question, I'm pretty new to this.

Hi

I finally got almost my pieces and get back to work on my quads. I hook the RX and the FC with  a custom pigtail.i made, I have 4 wire coming out of the fc, and only three going to the receiver. Do I need to plug the blue wire somewhere, it was not showed on the diagram. Right now no led or nothing on the receiver when I plug battery, and transmitter wizard is showing no  reaction when I'm moving the sticks.

Thanks
Dan

No, you don't need the fourth wire.

Looking at your picture I don't see anywhere you're supplying power to the revo.  All I see are ESC signal and ground wires.  You need to supply 5v power to one of the servo connectors.  USB supplies the revo itself but won't power the receiver.

Good, so if I take a 5v (red) from the PDB and plug it in the center pin of esc #1, I should be good? No need for additional ground (black)
