Will my old OpenPilot hardware still work...
« on: November 22, 2016, 01:00:53 am »
Well, this is awkward...

I have not played with any of my Quads in several years and would like to get back into it, but have found that OpenPilot is no more.

I just flew my CC3D the other day with whatever firmware I flashed when I first got it.

In total I have 2 x CC3D's, a Revo (with what appears to be an OpLink soldered on the underside...is that normal?), a separate OpLink and an OPGPS.

Will the above hardware work with LibrePilot?  Can I flash what I have with the Firmware's in the Download section?

I have a bunch of cables that will fit the various Flexi/etc ports on the Revo/OpLink and GPS, but I have no idea what to plug where.  I will start hitting the documentation section, but hope you can at least answer if the hardware is still viable and if a Revo with a onboard OpLink is firmware(able).

Thanks,

Alby

Yes, yes, yes, and yes.  :)

All of it should work fine with LibrePilot.  Anything that OP supported is still supported in LP.

The main wiki page is https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Welcome  and the part on upgrading the firmware (and bootloaders if necessary) is https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Firmware+Tab

If your CC3Ds are really old, ( ;) ) you may have to update the bootloader.
