Aileron/elevator shuddering
« on: September 30, 2016, 05:17:23 am »
I need a bit of help.

I'm using a Revo Nano on a Bix3.

I only ever use weak leveling for the pitch and roll, that's it.

The issue I'm having it seems the Revo is trying to make corrections very fast.  If I gently tilt the plane left and right for example the controller responds by moving the ailerons up or down to return to level..  but instead of moving them smoothly it jerks then really really fast in small twitchy movements, like it is trying to make too many adjustments too fast.

The result in flight is that the plane practically shakes because the control surfaces are jumping around so fast.

I think all that is needed is to dial down whatever setting effects how quickly i or how many times per second the FC will make adjustments.   I'm just not sure what setting that is.

Thanks for any help.

Hi,

You should adjust the PID, maybe reduce the "P" term and avoid oscillations.
Reducing the Attitude (outer loop) values could also help.
