Transmitter Wizard
« on: June 10, 2016, 06:10:16 am »
I have gone through and set up my quad using the hardware configuration.  One oddity was that it would not allow me to select One-Shot, which my ESCs are.  I thought I had purchased a CC3D Nano, but the HW configuration wizard on recognizes the standard CC3d.

I have been trying to use the setup wizard on my transmitter, but I can not get properly get past the throttle enable - collective set.  I am using an older(much) Futaba T9CHP with Fr Sky DFT transmitter module and D8R-II Plus Reciever.

I have selected the Helo transmitter with Collective/Yaw on left and pitch on right.  I have the lower display screen on my transmitter showing my channels and I can see when I hit the throttle disable switch that the main throttle channel does not move and the secondary throttle channel (ch 6 on mine) move.  And the wizard recognizes this and moves to the enable throttle.  I release the throttle disable switch and move it, with corresponding changes on the main throttle channel (ch 3) as well as the secondary channel, but the wizard does not recognize this.

Thanks

The GCS software (and the firmware) only recognize board types and show the full size original versions.  The fact that it's a "nano" size instead of a 36mm square one doesn't matter.

It sounds like you're hooking up the receiver with PWM (6 or 8 wires), in PWM the cc3d doesn't support oneshot.  You need to switch to one of the one wire input modes like PPM to use one shot on a cc3d.  The revo type boards are the only ones that support oneshot with PWM receivers.  More info is in the wiki.

I have no experience with helicopters, hopefully someone with helicopter experience will answer the rest of your questions.  You posted in the multirotor area instead of the heli one, I'm going to move it so heli users should notice it.

Hwh,

Thank you for the reply.  I thought that might be the case, that the SW recognizes the board as the CC3D.

Yes, I did connect to the receiver in PWM configuration.  I am trying to set up my quad using an older Helo transmitter ( Futaba T9CHP) that I got a while back.  I'll check and see if the receiver I bought supports PPM.  The documentation that came with the unit is a bit lite on its capabilities.

Thanks
