Easytune Issue
« on: May 24, 2016, 10:04:40 pm »
Hi,

I have an Issue to setup the PID using easy tune. I'm using LibrePilot 15.09 with a Revolution Mini.

I'll try to explain the problem:
 - I have activated the TxPID, set the EasyTuneRatePitch and EasyTuneRateRoll on Accessory0 with a lower value of 0.001000 and higher value of 0.008000. Saved on the CC3d and disconnected - reconnected and saved again.
 - In the Stabilization panel, I have connected the battery, and when I have changed the potentiometer on my tx I was able to see the values changed for the PID, but the minimum don't start from 100, as defined in TxDIP, but from 450.

In the video you can see, that the starting value change from 100 to 450, and when I move the potentiometer it start from 450 to arrive at 800.

I have already used this procedure (easytune), with another quad Blade 180 with a CC3D standard, and everything works fine.

Any Ideas about this Issue or for the strange behavior ?

thanks in advance

Maybe check your accessory0 neutral

Not sure you really want to setup Pitch and Roll at same time.
Maybe geometry can be symmetrical but the masses placement are rarely symmetrical.

Hi f5soh,
it's not relevant, for the Issue, if I set just EasyTuneRateRoll or EasyTuneRatePitch or both.
If I configure just one of the parameter the Issue is the same. For the selected parameter, in the Stabilization panel, I see the quick shift from the value 0.00100 and 0.00450, and when I change on the tx the starting value is 0.00450.

I'm quite sura that I'm in front of a software bug that in may case appends with the Revolution and not with the normal CC3D.
I'm disabled the TxPID and set at default the values for the PID. Restart with this procedure:
 - Enable TxPID and save, see the red x on the save button, disconnect and reconnect the CC3D.
 - the PID values are set as default
 - Set the EasyTuneRatePitch on Accessory 0, the values fro min and max are automatically set equals to the default PID value of the Pitch Proportional = 0.003000.
 - modify the values with min = 0.001000 and max = 0.008000, and save
 - Now if a go in Stabilization panel, I can see that the Proportional Pitch values is at 0.00450.

The transmitter is Off and the Battery is not connected to the quad, just the USB connection.

I'm in front of a bug! Did you know the procedure to report a Bugreport ?

thanks in advance

Nothing wrong other than what f5soh told you in the first reply, the neutral on accessory0 is way off.  Set it to 1500 the way it belongs and it all works fine.

yes, redo transmitter calibration and set the Accessory0 neutral to middle manually or like the tx wizard ask set the knob to middle when needed.

No issue here.

Please note: The "Revolution" doesn't exist.. just a Chinese invention.
There is CC3D boards and Revolutions boards.

Hi,

with the first message of f5soh, I don't have completely understood the answer.
But now, with you indications, f5soh and hwh, I have fix the problem.
as suggested by hwh, I have set to 1500 the neutral on accessory0 and it works. :)

thanks for your support.
