Esc Help please

Hi, I have the Emax Simon Series 30amp escs on my F450 quad, it says in the instructions that it actually has BLHeli firmware. I am not sure which Esc option I should choose with my CC3D and the refresh Hz rate as I have searched everywhere and cant find this? Can someone please recommend. I chose update rate at 490hz and PWM using Spektrum Satellite. It seems to fly ok, escs are a bit warm but not hot after 12 minutes of flight I have the Emax 2213/935 motors as well but am concerned I may burn the escs out, thanks in advance.

Generally use the fastest ESC update rate that you have available that is easy to set up.  "PWMSync" or "PWM + 490Hz" (on all banks that have an output that is connected to an ESC) should work very well.

Spektrum Satellite is not related to ESC setup.  :)  Maybe you are just saying you use 490Hz ESC update rate, and you also use Spektrum Satellite.

Great thanks Cliff, that is the option I am currently using is PWM/490hz, for some reason when I went through the wizard choosing rapid and PWMsync the escs would not do the throttle calibration the escs would not beep after I plugged in the battery, when I changed it to only PWM it worked. So that is when I was thinking 490hz might be to much for the esc's, but it does fly good. How do I tell if the Hz is to much for the esc's? I did mean to say I was using a Satellite I thought the signal input had something to do with how the CC3D adjusted the signal to the ESC's but now I realize that the cc3d puts the signal to the escs. Thanks still learning. ::)

Generally, if they calibrate and work it's not too fast.  If PWM-490 works well for you, use it.
