Problems with oneshot and PPM
« on: April 23, 2016, 06:52:08 pm »
Hello guys

I've built a tricopter with the following parts:
  • CC3D board with latest LibrePilot FW
  • EMax OneShot 12 A BEC ESCs
  • EMax MT2204-2300KV
  • Hitec HS-45HB Analog Yaw servo
  • WFLY WFR06S Receiver
  • WFLY WFT07 Transmitter

I've been flying it for a few weeks with PWM 490 and it works very well.
But since the ESCs have support for OneShot I thought I'd give it a try.

So after trying out fresh with the vehicle setup wizard everything worked well until I'm on the transmitter setup wizard where I can't get any signals from the transmitter to the controller.

Is there something I've missed in my setup?

Hi, welcome

I think you can only use the PWM input with your receiver, this means all wires connected to receiver or one wire per function.
With PWM input the CC3D can't support OneShot.

Others input types allow OneShot: PPM, Sbus, DSM...

Hi

Yeah I tried to change settings to PPM_PIN8+OneShot so far so good.
I know my receiver supports PPM but I can't seem get it going

I've also tried to move PIN8 together with PIN1 and 2 and the connected it to port 1 on the receiver.
Still no luck

Can it be my transmitter?

I doubt this receiver can do PPM output or others call this PPMSum.
How the receiver can know output PWM for servo or PPMsum for flight controller configured as PPM_Pin8+OneShot ?

The modulation used is PPM/PCMS 1024/PCMS 4096 but no PPM output with one wire for this receiver.

Ok I see!

So I guess I need to look for a PPM encoder to put between the receiver and the cc3d?
