Failure on Main Port Data Connection
« on: April 04, 2016, 11:10:56 pm »
I have been working to get my Revo Nano up and running with OPLink Mini and GPS. I have connected the GPS to the Main Port and OPLink to Flexi Port. I get telemetry from OPLink but not GPS. I switched the devices and verified the GPS does work in Flexi Port, but OPLink failed in Main Port, so I have to assume the Main Port has failed.

I see LEDs on the devices when connected to Main Port, but can't get any data.

Any thoughts on how I can further troubleshoot or repair Main Port?

Main have an extra component (inverter) between connector and Cpu

The only telemetry baudrate allowed using 15.09 is 57600bauds.

F5soh,

Thank you for the quick reply. I have the baud for both flex and main port set to 57600. Still no joy. I see my GPS LEDs light up and it appears the unit is working. Are there indications on the Nano to confirm it is working? I have checked all the system settings and data objects and they indicate good connections to both the GPS and OPLink when connected to flexi port, but nothing when connected to Main port.

Best Regards,

Looks like there is a hardware issue.

You can check all software side you cannot fix that.
RevoNano do not have ESD protections.

There is only one component between MainPort connector and CPU : the inverter.

Is there a schematic I can use to potentially replace that part?

No schematic available for RevoNano.

Look at Revolution schematic, that the same component using a SC70 package. (CH5 marking)
