Just built a robocat, my setup... cc3d-fc, 20 amp esc, rhd 02204/2300kv motors, 5045 bullnose props, 3s 2200mah 11.1v 25c battery.
setup on librepilot now when i try to fly I have very little thrust only hovers about 2 feet off the ground but when i give it right yaw it gains power but to the right yaw.

Did you correctly calibrate your ESCs?

Maybe let us see your output configuration page.

sometimes sticks are very sensitive to movements that what you might think your yaw right but you actually given it a little thrust as well. try doing esc calibration again as mentioned above.

Re calibrated many times! The extra thrust is coming from the yaw. When I give it full throttle it only will hover a few feet off the ground. But when I give it right yaw it ascends higher as it spins right. Left yaw seems normal, right and left roll seem normal, forward and backward pitch seem normal. If I were to hold the quad in my hand put the throttle in the middle then move the stick to right yaw you can hear and feel the power increase.

There is something wrong here, your quad should hover at middle stick more or less.

Post some good pictures with your build that show props.
Post your config file: File > Export Uav settings...

Not sure if it will help, but here's the factory setup for the Robocat (I have one as well).  Start here and make the necessary adjustments for your motors and particulars.

Let us know what you find...would like to learn as well.

I have a robocat also. You'll probably find the 6045 props and 4s better. I started with 3s and it was kinda a slug, I also tried 5045 props and didn't like them. Im no expert and have had issues of my own, but it should be a beast if running right. I would check battery for voltage, and in the program to see that the throttle limits are correct. Also see that the cc3d is recognizing full throttle.
