can you use one receiver on multiple units?

I'm having to wait on an order of receivers. They said they're on back order. Can i borrow one from another unit in the mean time? Seems like it wouldn't matter to me but i'm new to this and don't really know and i come up empty when i google it. Thanks

Multiple units meaning multiple aircraft/vehicles?

If yes then yes. When using a 'flight controller' the Rx is only a conduit/passthrough for Tx commands. The Tx doesn't care where the output of the Rx goes, and the FC doesn't care where the commands it receives from the Rx came from.

The only (obvious) caveat is that the FCs in the different vehicles must be compatible with the Rx.
