Radio mixes and rates versus rate mode in cc3d
« on: March 03, 2016, 03:38:30 pm »
I'm still learning this hobby so bear with me, but I continue to be confused by rates (dual rates and expo) on the transmitter and what I set in LibrePilot.  I know if I use manual mode, then the FC is just a passthrough for my radio, which supposedly is something I don't want to do (according to a YT video).  So should I be working on setting up mixes on my radio or just do all my configuring for modes, rates, PIDS within LibrePilot and leave the radio as a simple setup?

Simple setup on radio and do not change anything since you do the Tx input wizard.
No trims or "dual rates" in Rc Tx

ok, sounds good. I like simple.  I just upgraded my turnigy 9x to er9x.  Going through the manual there were so many examples of various types of mixes but things weren't quite clicking on how to apply them to a multirotor.

basic profile, no mix stuff.

Affect at least a switch to one output for flightmode use.
