Hi, need some help or ideas of a problem i have.
Have a Revolution FC (OpenPilot) and i cant get motor #3 to spinn.
Have change esc, motor, checked rx, rebind rx, checked voltage and it feels like i have done everything.
But i cant get motor #3 to spin in the program for set up (Open Pilot), have erase and load the firmware on card several times
without success.

If i run the motor and esc on the bench it works, have BL Heli 14 flashed to DYS 20A esc´s.

Hi, welcome.

Maybe some defect hardware.
You can affect the motor3 to another output. Go to Configuration > Vehicle tab

Next double check the output tab because the new output need the same bank settings as others motors.

Willing to try any ideas, it just stop working under a normal flying.
The first that hit me was motor or esc failure, and i already have spare parts at home, so i thught it was a piece of cake :-)
Did try to shift motors on output from the FC board whitout any luck, will test your way. But i think its defect hardware as you wrote.

Get back to you after test with result.

Did a new set up in program whith motor 3 and 1 shifted on FC bord output. Then all the motors run (4)?
Did a erase and upgrade and change back the motors as they should be on board 1-4 and did a new erase and upgrade.
Everything was ok, all motors run !? So i did one test inside in my workshop/hobby room, and she fly ok.
But something is not ok, seems like #3 dont get a good signal every start up, because it dont spin up as the other Three motor does
after landing and from zero throttle to start of the motors. If i disarm Before i arm again its spinn up as i should.
Sorry for my bad English ! Hope you understand :-)
Time to change the FC board ? Do you know where i can get one new Revolution original board ?

I have had personally lots of problems with the DYS SN20/BL20 escs. If you use to much heat on your iron the n-fets move and the esc won't work properly. I've messed up quite a few soldering them directly to the motors. I switched to little bees and have not had a problem since. Better solder, design difference. Don't know if you have another esc to try. But this was my expirence.

Have soldering them whith the leads intact on esc to motors, but ofcourse it can be to hot.
Have some 12 A E-max BL Helis at home. Can i use one of theese together with
DYS 20A fore test ?

All 4 of your escs need to be the same.  I have just had problems with them personally. They are a decent esc if you can get them to work

OK, thank´s. that was my thought too. Do you have any esc´s to recomend ? 16-20 A i need, running 4 S on this one with 6x45 propps.
If im gone change all 4 esc, i better go for new good once.

I like the FVT little bees. Or the rotor geeks ones.  Also I bought some Armattan escs that were great.

I just have issues with the DYS ones. They are a good esc if you can get them reliable.  I dont really know what my problem was, others have used them with great success. As did I before I burnt two out and had tons of problems replacing them. Got them replaced and they started not holding their calibration. And would change setting mid flight. All still worked btw. Just not for very long.

Sorry I do not the little bees ingot off amazon. 20a or 30A. 12.00-17.00$. Heli-direct.com I don't know where to get the rotor geeks ones. And the Armattan ones also came from Amazon. All blheli 14.1 or higher firmware. All solid dependable esc.
