Return to Base understanding correct?
« on: February 28, 2016, 08:03:36 pm »
Hello guys,
Im not sure if I understand the discription correctly...
Return to Base means the copter returns to its homepoint, is this the point where gps gets activated on this flight session or were I Set it in gcs?
If I fly somewere else i have to Set a new homepoint or not?

Thank you,  didnt read this discription till now. I was sure i missed something ;-)

So thats a bit disapointing, have to Deal with that.
I hoped that it would be not necessary to Set new home location everytime.

I think the naza rth makes more sense for my aplication as its "return to were you get gps fix" but both things have its pros and cons.
Maybe we can (somewere in the future) ad a naza style rth mode?!

Again, did you read this page ?
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Setting+Home+location

At least the warning at bottom, this set the HomeLocation. Home location is used as reference for autonomous flight, like waypoints relative to this Homelocation

Second page you may read again, especially the TakeOffLocation paragraph: https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Return+to+base#Returntobase-TakeOffLocationmode
So here you can set the "Point" (the TakeOffLocation) used for RTB as "First arming location" or "Arming location"

You mean this?

Take Off Location mode

TakeOffLocation can be configured to return to either the ArmingLocation, or FirstArmingLocation.

Value can be set in UAVOBrowser: Settings > TakeOffLocation > Mode

The default setting to "ArmingLocation" to return to the point of takeoff is recommended in most instances.

I missed that...sorry.
The others, im not sure if I understand that correctly, have to read that again an may try in a save area.
Im new to the gps thing in Librepilot and around me there is nobody who can help so im sorry.
