Calibration Screen
« on: August 16, 2017, 01:00:17 pm »
Hi All,

I own a ZMR250 with CC3D FC and Librepilot firmware.
I want to calibrate my sensor manually and set already my home location.
But I can't find the calibration screens shown here in the forum or on the manual section.
How can I enable them?
My Attitude screen looks as attached below - no setting tab. Do I make something wrong?

Thx in advance
Sascha

Hi, welcome.

CC3D do not support navigation modes and has very limited GPS support, causes the Attitude tab is not exactly the same as the one found for Revo/Sparky controllers.
Home location can be set in Map but not used by the flight controller (CC3D)

The only CC3D sensors are 3 axis gyroscope and accelerometers.

If you really still want GPS + CC3D for OSD, take a look here:
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Configure+a+GPS+for+CC3D
https://librepilot.atlassian.net/wiki/display/LPDOC/Setup+a+CC3D+for+GPS

Remember the GPS need to store his config in external flash.

thx a lot.
So this means, I can't calibrate the gyro manually only automatically, or thermal calibrate the cc3d?
And if I have a drift - how can I compensate them?

Gyros are zeroed at start and with "Zero gyros while arming" option
There is no thermal calibration for CC3D.

If you experience a drift in Attitude mode you need to adjust the virtual attitude rotation or redo the level calibration.

Gyro is calibrated (biases calculated), just no thermal correction, it's not really needed on racing copter.
Gyro is most accurate sensor but due to it's physical properties it drifts a bit no matter what you do (it's property), that's why accelerometers are used which are less accurate but do not drift.
In rate mode, just Gyro is used, and in attitude mode Gyro+Accel. You will always have a little bit of drift even with two sensors, but they are calibrated when you press that button.
You can try adjusting board rotation by 1deg here and there if it drifts in one direction or another.
Like f5soh already mentioned.

thx for your feedback.
I did know that the screens are depending of the board you use.

Hi

Thanks for this post. It answered my questions...as I'm getting to know my CC3D controller and was looking for the calibration "menu" in Libre Pilot.

Now I can unfreeze my controller  ;D 8)
