DJI GPS Mag calibration
« on: May 08, 2017, 11:00:34 pm »
Hello,

Got the NAZA DJI GPS Clone from banggood, works fine so far. Today i read the description of the GPS, they wrote for calibration the following:

Calibration Method:
Connect GPS to Flight controller, dial the model switch of radio control 7-10 times, LED light turns orange; Turn the flyer horizontally one circle, then the LED light turns green; Make the head of flyer downwards and turn it one circle, then the LED light flashed on.

Well that sounds really NAZA specific, i wonder if that can be done with librepilot. And what does the model switch to the GPS ? Sending a special byte sequence via the serial interface ?

Would be great if someone can enlighten me.

Greetings from cold europe
Udo

This is the DJI calibration method, the switch do nothing to the GPS.
Simply the way to start calibration in DJI world.
Calibration is stored inside flight controller, the GPS just send continuous data with GPS stuff and raw Mag readings.

You just need to calibrate Mag like others mag supported in Librepilot.
