load video with uvc-usb adapter on gsc?

If I have an usb-osd adapter to connect the vrx to the pc is it possible to load the real time video on librepilot as earth view in order to use the gsc as osd?

One of the developers has a test branch with that feature, but it is not yet part of a release or even of next from what I understand.
