Why doesn't the CC3D/GCS auto UNarm on [SAVE] and [SETUP WIZ]? You can't change anything without unarming it, so why manual? Am I overlooking something?

Hi, welcome.

Since the board is armed, motors are able to spin.
So every time you want to do changes board need to be disarmed for safety reasons

The settings aren't just available through USB, with a pair of oplinks you could have the quad 100m in the air and try to change a setting.  In that case refusing to save would be better than automatically disarming.  In general GCS tries to never do anything without being explicitly told to.
