Power revo through sonar port
« on: August 02, 2016, 12:22:46 pm »
Hi again folks

Can I Power my revo/gps/frsky d4r through the sonar Port ??

Reason I ask is I have purchased an rctimer apm Power module and somehow ended up under the impression it may be advantageous to Power from the Bec in the power mode and not an esc ??

Its no big deal for me to continue using an esc's BEC but trying to build up my tbs discovery and want to do a rock solid tidy job..

hmm found a slight hiccup for my plans...

Turns out the rctimer apm power module I got is configured for voltage and current level outputs at 5v range not 3.3v :(

time for a new one I guess

Did you measure 5V levels in V/A sensor lines ?

For Amps you can add a resistor to the ground that reduce the resultant Rl value.
Same for Volts.
