Farwest Rotors Falcon V2
« on: February 26, 2016, 06:45:48 pm »
Hello guys!
Theres a new kid in town... the Falcon V2 FC.
Some of you may already know it and at least one of our dev`s know it, for everyone else here it is.
Farwest says its coming soon, maybe at the end of march.
I received mine today and it looks like the latest version and no longer a beta

http://www.farwestrotors.com/#farwestrotors

What`s it?
A FC very similiar to the revo nano but at standard size without oplink modem integrated

Specs:
STM32F4 Processor running at 100MHz
Invensense MPU9250 gyro, accelerometer, and magnetometer
Measurement Specialties MS5611 barometer
Main port, Flexi Port, 8-pin Flexi-IO port
6 ESC / Servo Outputs
Mounting holes: 30.5 x 30.5 mm
Overall size: 36 x 36 mm
Power: 120mA @ 5V

So far nothing really new, but i hope they will be a reliable source of quality hardware as they say and its nice to have a source outside of china.
On of us is a great designer he designs the awesome case of the revo nano I think it was m_thread? Maybe you could do this again?
So thats it for today, more to come when i got it flying ;-)

I attached some pics right out of the box, so have fun!

One more thing:
I dont belong to Farwest rotors in anyway and doesn`t get money for this, I just asked for a beta to test it with LibrePilot!

With best regards
MazeVX

Edit: Farwest Rotors target the 21 March to start selling

Hello,
I killed my Falcon accidentally by mistake during test flights...
So nothing new here from my side.

As I already wrote sensor noisefloor really low, complementary flying really nice and Controller well done.
Graupner SumD support works.

Im really sorry for that!
