Frame suggestions for Revo/GPS
« on: April 17, 2016, 01:29:26 am »
I'm looking for some suggestions on a new frame to slap my Revo onto.  Right now I'm using my Eachine Racer 250 but its a bit tight with my GPS. I was looking at the F330 flamewheel but I can't find a legitimate one from DJI. Starting to think it doesn't exist. Plenty of clones available but some say the arms are flexy and introduce vibes.

I already have a 3DR Solo so I don't think I want anything that big (450). The 330 flamewheel sounded perfect but I'm wondering what you GPS guys are using. Not looking to add a gimbal or anything. Maybe just a gopro or Runcam.

Any suggestions would really be appreciated. Frame must have enough room for me to use rubber bobbins for mounting the FC and or potentially roomy enough for an oring suspension setup if required.

What about a Blackout 330:

seems a very good frame. Nice for flying fast and sufficient space for FPV and GPS.

Another, slightly cheeper frame is the Flying Cinema Tankito:

designed as a fun video platform.

the original DJI flamewheels seem no more available, so you would need to chose a clone if you still want to build one. If you change your mind and want to look for 450 frames, TBS Discovery or Flying Cinema Cinetank seem to be good choices :) My cinetank originally had no gimbal and was great fun with that setup, but finally I added the gimbal now :)
