When I import settings in GCS can select something if I use the CC3D? or do I always install everything? It is necessary for all object CC3D?

Hi,

That true, when you import a UAV settings file all settings are imported.

But not all UAVO are used, only a few are used. In uavoBrowser, uavo used are in bold.

You can also check uavo you want to import on list.

Thanks for your answer!
If you save only what you need to improve performance?

Not sure i understand your question...
what do you mean with performance ?

The only Uavo loaded or active in CC3D are listed in bold, like in previous list above.
Some Uavo can appears in bold after enabling some modules, because used/needed for module started.

When you import UAV file you get a pop-up with check boxes.  At that point, all the settings are loaded into the RAM on the board, but have not been saved permanently.  You can check or un-check the objects that you want permanently saved before saving.

Each object is actually several to many settings as @f5soh has already described.

Be careful and try to understand if there may be interactions between settings that you import and other parts of the old settings that you did not import.

Hello,

About import settings: I exported UAV data from OpenPilot 15.05.02 (Revo), upgrade firmware to librepilot 15.09 and import UAV file.

I understand that all calibration data (specialy Temp calibration), will be imported correctly or need redo all calibration?

Thx in advance, and please apoligize my "horrible" english.

Jess

Hello, my English is worse than yours. I use Google translator.
I when I switched to 15.09  I redid all the settings. I had no problem, but I have the cc3d.
For the REVO I not know.

here's my question, directly related to this post, I think:

I'd like to switch from OP to LP. First thing I did is save OP settings.

Next step, librepilot firmware onto cc3d.

then import OP dump into LP. Here we are: all data settings etc imported correctly, or needs to manually redo stuff?

thanks

Best option is do some screenshots for some settings.
Next you can store main settings like PID as a local template that can be imported later.

Import/Export works fully while using compatible UAVO sets.
This doesn't occurs between two releases...

ok done! I flashed the cc3d with librepilot latest firmware. Then went through vehicule wizard. everything went perfect until the input settings. so I just imported my OP dump, and everything went ok. There were no advance settings, only basic, and I just flew the engine, everything ok!

Now just a little question about the firmware. In the related tab, there's an error message firmware and bootloader not the same or something. Does this need fix, or is it ok?

Now I got to figure out what's different from OP, go into advance settings etc. I'll take my time

thanks!

Go to the download page, there is a small info about the firmware status.
For basic/advanced, see here: https://forum.librepilot.org/index.php?topic=706.0

Take a look to Wiki for settings:
