Title: How can I calibrate compass on CC3D?
Post by: tpo88 on February 21, 2016, 05:48:15 pm
My compass on Flight Data Workspace points like 85-95º more East than the reality. How can I calibrate it? I'm not sure even why we have a compass on CC3D and when we can use it but... just for curiosity.

PS: I have my CC3D rotated 90º (the Arrow points starborside) but, of course, I correct it on Configuration>Attitude>Yaw>-90º. Can be that the reason?

CC3D do not have magnetometer so calibration is very quick :)

Given that CC3D doesn't have mags, when it is booted up it assumes that it is pointing north.  Boot it up pointing north and it will be correct for a while, till it drifts too much.  It only uses gyros and they drift.
